JOHN A. WILLIAMS JR.

Founder & CEO

As Founder and CEO of Haven Communities, Jay is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the company including the overall strategic direction and the oversight of partnership and development activity.

Jay has over twenty years of experience in real estate development, investment management and syndication, and has a diverse background as an investor, advisor and operating executive. He has previously served as President of Williams Realty Advisors, co-founder of Oxford Properties and CEO of Williams Investment Group.

Jay has experience working in an executive board capacity with numerous early stage companies including RealValuator and DataBridge (recently purchased by Zillow). He began his career working as a marketing executive for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. Jay has always been active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Open Hand and has previously served on the Board of Directors of the PATH Foundation as well as the Beck Foundation.

BRYAN BOYLES

VP of Finance

Bryan Boyles is the Vice President of Finance for Haven Communities. He is responsible for the financial underwriting of all development projects, as well as the management of entitlement and due diligence processes.

Bryan has over 15 years of experience in real estate development, acquisitions, and asset management. Prior to joining Haven, he worked for Novare Group, managing the development and operation of the commercial components of the company’s mixed-use projects. Most recently, he worked with CORO Realty Advisors in the asset management of office and retail properties valuing over $200 Million.

Bryan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He is currently an active member of the University of Georgia Young Alumni Association, and has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Young Atlanta Retail Alliance.

DAVID TRACHT

VP of Development

David Tracht is Vice President of Development for Haven Communities. He is responsible for overseeing the coordination of future developments and acquisitions as well as prospecting new opportunities.

David’s experience in various leadership and management roles within firms such as Jones Lang LaSalle, Cousins Properties, Jamestown Properties, The Medallion Group, and Full Circle Productions has developed into a well-rounded real estate perspective that David applies daily to his work.

He has over 17 years of experience in a broad base of real estate related disciplines including V.P. of Operations for the Atlanta regional office of a multi-billion dollar real estate professional services company, organizational development, property and facility management, development management and marketing. He is also an active board member of Peachtree Creek Greenway Inc., a non-profit organization advocating for the development of a multiuse path along the north fork of Peachtree Creek in Atlanta.

JOHN LIM

VP of Asset Management

John Lim is Vice President of Asset Management for Haven Communities. He is responsible for overseeing the operational interests for stabilized assets as well as those under development.

Prior to Haven Communities, John served as the Director of Leasing at The Richman Group where he was responsible for the development, implementation, execution, training, and analysis of marketing and leasing programs at newly constructed Class A multi-family residential developments valuing over $250 million. John has worked in the real estate industry for over 10 years and is also a licensed Georgia Real Estate Sales Agent.

John received a Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in real estate from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.

CHASE POWELL

VP of Development

Chase Powell is the VP of Development for Haven Communities. His responsibilities center around Haven’s development activity, which include planning, entitlement, financial analysis, and overall management of the development process from inception to stabilization.

Prior to Haven Communities, Chase worked at MidCity Real Estate Partners as a Development Associate. Chase worked on projects in several different asset classes ranging from boutique office deals to large mixed-use, public-private partnerships. Chase also worked at Portman Holdings as a Development Analyst focusing on underwriting new multifamily, office, and hotel opportunities across the United States.

Chase holds a Master of Real Estate Development from Georgia Tech and a Bachelor of Science from Saint Joseph’s University. Chase is actively involved in ULI, RoswellNEXT, and Atlanta Young Real Estate Professionals.

CHRIS SNAVELY

Construction Manager

Chris Snavely is the Construction Manager for Haven Communities. He is responsible for overseeing the day to day management of our General Contractors and monitoring the progress of our ongoing projects.

Prior to joining Haven Communities, he worked for Traton Homes in Marietta, Georgia where he served as Project Manager over various job sites throughout the Atlanta area.

As a seasoned construction executive with over 20 years of leadership, Chris’s focus on proactive management solutions rather than reactive problem triage has resulted in the successful delivery of over $300 million in revenue. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia in 1992.

KEITH CAMPBELL

Controller

Keith Campbell, CPA, is Haven’s Controller and is primarily responsible for overseeing corporate financial operations including tax and accounting.

Prior to joining Haven Communities, Keith worked as a Tax Manager with a mid-size public accounting firm in the Atlanta area and with KPMG, NY for a total of 12 years. Keith graduated from Hofstra University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

JARRED WELLEM

Analyst

Jarred Wellem is an Analyst for Haven Communities. In this role he is responsible for supporting the senior development team in the underwriting of potential developments, market research and investment due diligence.

​Prior to joining Haven Communities, Jarred worked as a multifamily investment sales broker with Marcus & Millichap advising clients on the acquisition and disposition of apartment properties. While at Marcus & Millichap his responsibilities included identifying new multifamily investment sale opportunities, financial underwriting, and property-level due diligence. Prior to his role in brokerage, Jarred began his career at national homebuilder D.R Horton as a land acquisitions analyst underwriting raw land and vacant developed lot takedowns.

Jarred earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in real estate and finance from the University of Georgia where he was also a member of the Real Estate Society. Jarred is originally from Atlanta and is currently a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.

CAROL HANCOCK

Office Manager and Executive Assistant

Carol Hancock is Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Haven Communities and brings over 25 years of office administration and executive level administrative experience to senior management.

Carol is responsible for ensuring a smoothly and efficiently run office which encompasses a wide variety of tasks and support. She is a native Atlantan and received an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Perimeter College.

BETSY BAILEY

Accounts Payable Manager

Betsy Bailey is the Accounts Payable Manager for Haven Communities. She is responsible for coordinating with all departments to track and process payments.

Betsy attended Clemson University and has a Bachelors Degree from Winthrop University.

AMY GASCA

Accounting Associate

Amy Gasca is an Accounting Associate with Haven Communities and is responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and assisting with account payables throughout pre-development and construction projects.

She has been involved in the construction and development industry for more than five years with a strong background in finance and accounting.

STEVE WHISENANT

Partner/Advisor

Since 1969, Whisenant has been involved in more than 4 million square feet of retail development, primarily through his ownerships in Tri-Kell Investments, Inc. and Madison Retail, LLC. Most recently, Whisenant has added Haven Communities to his portfolio of endeavors.

Whisenant earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). He has been an active member of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association and is a former International Business Fellow. He has served as a guest lecturer at Georgia Tech, Georgia State University and the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
